Skateboarding and art have always been connected. From the beginning of skateboarding’s birth artists have been putting their mark on a board. Beyond the art on the board its what is done on the board that is art in itself. Fluid motions and more, the style you bring to the table is as key as what you are doing, no matter how technical. Skateboarders know this, and so, start to see the world from this view. Everything you do has your style attached to it. It becomes an approach to life. Because of this, its no accident that many skateboarders are artist as well. So many skateboarders have went on to have creative careers. Our community nurtures this talent, and it is the goal of this show to bring some of this talent out for display. Our skate community has a wealth of talent both on and off the board. We hope to bridge the gap between Ohio and Midwest skate/art communities with this show. As we take this show on the road, it will be an opportunity for us to celebrate this talent, and another great reason for us to unite as skaters.
